Protect the Boss starts to air in Malaysia


Korean Wave hits Malaysia with the airing of the TV series Protect the Boss.

The SBS TV series Protect the Boss (written by Kwon Ki Young, directed by Son Jung Hyun) seizes fans’ full attention with the recent development of complicated love affairs of the head of department Cha Ji Hun (played by Ji Sung) and the secretary No Eun Sul (played by Choi Gang Hee), and Seo Na Yoon (played by Wang Ji Hye) and Cha Moo Won (played by Youngwoong Jaejoong).

In addition, fans are interested at the announcement that the series will air in Malaysia, as well. The Sony Picture’s Cable Channel Setone will air the series from September 12 at 9:00 p.m. every Mondays and Tuesdays.

Protect the Boss will begin to air in Malaysia even before the series finishes in Korea. It will be played with subtitles.

Malaysian fans took big interests when the recent issue of Indonesian newspaper Jawa pos carried a story about the scene where Ji Sung fights with Kim Jae Joong in the eighth episode of Protect the Boss, which aired on August 28.

The series is also popular in other countries such as in the USA, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and in Philippines.

A source from SBS says, “Fans of Protect the Boss is increasing continually in Malaysia and all across the world. We will do our best in filming the rest of the story, and hope that it will become a huge hit.”
