110317 Park Yoochun and Kang Hye-jung Cast in ‘Goodbye Miss Ripley’


After half of a year, actor Park Yoochun will return to TV drama.

Actor Park Yoochun is challenging a classic drama through ‘Goodbye Miss Ripley’ (tentative title).
On March 16th, MBC drama official said, “The appearance of Park Yoochun in the drama is almost finalized. After returning recently from Fukuoka, Japan, he’s been actively participating in the drama practice.”

Since his last role in KBS 2TV ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ in November last year, it’s been 6 months of Park Yoochun to ever worked as an actor. In ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ he’s taking role of Lee Seon-jun as part of the ‘Jalgeum 4′ along with other handsome young popular actors Song Jung-Gi, Yu Ah-in, and Park Min-young, the role had gained him high popularity thus wrapped him a successful acting debut.

‘Goodbye Miss Ripley’ is based on 2005 sensational academic forgery case involving a culprit named Shin Jeong-ah that was attracting a lot of attention at that time, actress Kang Hye-jung is dubbed to be the final heroine cast. The drama is set to broadcast in May after the completion of drama ‘The Duo’.

About the academic forgery case….

Shin Jeong-ah, a university professor and art curator at Dongguk University, who forged her credentials to get hired, and then embezzled funds from the art gallery’s corporate sponsorships. She got hired in 2005 under the belief that she had earned a BFA and MBA from the University of Kansas and a PhD from Yale, when in fact she was only a high school graduate. Her boyfriend Byeon Yang-kyoon, 19 years her senior, was a presidential secretary at the time, and helped her forge the paperwork and get hired.
