KNTV Will air Protect the Boss starting November. KNTV is a cable channel in Japan that airs many Korean dramas with Japanese subtitles. It is usual that Korean dramas air on KNTV first before it goes anywhere else, such as public stations. The speed with which Boss was announced on KNTV is quite extraordinary! The comments by the Japanese viewers are one of surprise and happiness ^_^. Can you guess why KNTV was so eager? XD
Ji Sung gathered all eyes in revealing a distressed heart at the sight of his enemy-in-love Kim Jaejoong’s leaning on his shoulder.
On the SBS TV drama Protect the Boss that aired on the 8th, Ji Sung who could not hide his sorrowful heart while taking home Muwon who was intoxicated due to his wounds of losing his love.
Jihun and Muwon, who are successors to a chaebol estate and also cousins, are in the middle of a conflict of love over the secretary Eunsul. However, as Eunsul chose Jihun, Muwon had to endure deep wounds. He whose feelings for Eunsul was sincere expressed his ardent wish to Eunsul to remain friends at least, but the wounds of having his love declined was deep.
As such, Muwon drank with Nayun and became uncontrollably intoxicated. To dissuade him Jihun and Eunsul ran over. The person who came to take the intoxicated Muwon home was none other than Jihun. He gazed at Muwon, who had fallen asleep with his head softly on Jihun’s shoulder due to being intoxicated, with complicated feelings. Continuing, Jihun softly leaned his own head on the shoulder of Muwon whose head was leaning on his shoulder. Further, Jihun then said “I am sorry” with a gaze that shook and revealed his pained emotion for Muwon.
They are enemies who cannot give up Eunsul for the other, but it is that the weight of the time – since youth they had shared their lonely hearts in quarrelling and playing – could not be ignored. It is that this was a scene in which the relationship of Jihun and Muwon, who cannot hate each other genuinely despite fighting over love and over the right to control the corporation, was portrayed in a way that betrayed much meaning.
On the other hand, on this episode Kim Jaejoong sang a heartfelt song while missing Eunsul and Wang Jihye drew tender feelings and laughter with her comic tone-deaf acting and added to the interest of the drama.
The popularity of the singer JYJ has even immobilized the home page of a record company.
The first special Korean-language album by JYJ, In Heaven, has caused the server of the online retailer Synnara Record to go down and is showing signs of a huge success.
The 8th was a day before the date on which preorders became possible. Despite this, on the home page of Synnara Record which is one of the online retailers for the first Korean-language album by JYJ, a large number of fans gathered, to the degree that the server was downed.
Further, prior to the release of the album, C-JeS Entertainment released a 1-minute teaser for In Heaven through its home page on the midnight of the 5th in which Kim Junsu and entertainer Song Jihyo acted out tragic love and gathered interest.
On the other hand, on the midnight of thee 8th, the mp3 of the new song Get Out from the first Korean-language album by JYJ In Heaven was revealed.
On the 7th, the ADRA Korea (Adventist Development and Relief Agency Korea) presented a new house to a needy elderly woman. Kim sponsored the house build. ADRA Korea builds houses for the needy and this house is the sixth so far.
The house meant even more because it was given just prior to Korea’s biggest holiday Chuseok.
The old lady lives with her grandson and lost her previous house due to fire in October last year.
Since then she has, with neighbors’ help, been living at the town meeting hall. When Kim and ADRA Korea heard her story, they decided to build a house for her.
The house is a comfortable and cozy wooden building which includes kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. Over seventy volunteer workers helped to build the house.
Kim has been donating to ADRA Korea since 2008, and the donations help continue the building service. Many people who need a house can start a new life with a new house thanks to the charity.

SBS’ popular Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’ has become a hot topic once more as it was dubbed the ‘Best domestic brand promoting drama’.
During the episode that aired on the 1st, Eun Seol (Choi Kang Hee) and Mu Won (Kim Jaejoong) were seen on a date and watching a movie together, and the movie they saw was none other than the Korean animation movie ‘The Hen that Left the Yard’, which has attracted over 2 million viewers.
Aside from historical dramas, most dramas use many foreign products, but ‘Protect the Boss’ has made sure that even the smallest of details contains domestic products, giving it the title of the ‘Best domestic brand promoting drama’.
In the early episodes of the drama, Dooli, the popular Korean cartoon character created by Kim Soo Jung in 1983, appears on Ji Hun (Ji Sung)’s boxers and CEO Cha (Park Young Gyu)’s community service scenes. The coffee shop that Ji Hun works part-time in is a chain store of ‘Holly’s Coffee’, a brand that began in Korea.
Even though CEO Cha’s DN Group is set as one of the biggest conglomerates in Korea, everyone uses the K7 car from a domestic brand and when Mu Won and Na Yoon (Wang Ji Hae) dine together, they usually meet in Korean restaurants rather than at Japanese or expensive Western restaurants. Even the tablet PC that Choi Kang Hee uses is domestic brand Samsung’s Galaxy Tab and the drink endorsed by the drama is Gwangdong Pharmaceutical’s Corn Husk Tea.
To this, netizens showed a positive response as they left comments like, “‘Protect the Boss’, in which there are no Japanese or Western influences, is truly the best domestic brand promoting drama,” and “Not only is it fun to watch, but it’s also true to Korea.”
Actresses Choi Kang Hee and Wang Ji Hae each got to lie between Kim Jaejoong and Ji Sung.
The two actresses recently worked with Kim Jaejoong and Ji Sung at the Ilsan Production Center and the Seongnam City Hall for the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect the Boss’.
Choi Kang Hee was seen lying on the field of grass in front of the Seongnam City Hall with Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong resting their heads on her arms as she stared at the sky and smiled happily.
At the Ilsan Production Center, Wang Ji Hae was seen lying on a bed with Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong resting their heads on her arms. At the time, Wang Ji Hae was seen smiling the two men and screaming with joy.
The viewers’ curiosity was sparked as Choi Kang Hee and the two men were wearing casual clothes while Wang Ji Hae and the two actors were seen in white button-up shirts and blouses.
The production crew stated, “When these scenes are aired, we expect many female fans to be envious of Choi Kang Hee and Wang Ji Hae,” and “Keep watching to see the truth behind these two women each having two men next to them.”
These scenes will be aired through the 11th episode of ‘Protect the Boss’ that airs on the 7th.
Kim Jaejoong has recently been showing off athletic skills that surpass that of a normal idol. He’s able to maneuver S-boards freely and his love for S-boards is already well-known amongst his fans.
Kim Jaejoong, who has made his mark as a global star, showcased his affection for S-boards in Korea, the U.S. and Japan in three different styles.
Japanese paparazzi snapped a photo of Kim Jaejoong riding his S-board and printed it in a weekly magazine. Kim Jaejoong, who was riding the S-board in the park on his day off, was seen with a black hoodie and jeans and looked like a normal youth enjoying a day off. In the photo, Kim Jaejoong is seen maneuvering the S-board with ease, with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his phone as he conversed. His calm composure and confident expression proved that his skills at riding S-boards were above average.
Next was Kim Jaejoong’s S-board skills in the U.S. In what appears to be a rehearsal room, Kim Jaejoong is seen atop a S-board. It can be deduced that he was showcasing his skills during a break and it has been known that one of JYJ’s American backdancers took the photo.
Last of all are the skills Kim Jaejoong showcased in Korea. Kim Jaejoong, who is currently appearing in the drama ‘Protect the Boss’, was seen wearing a suit as he moved freely on the board. Different from his previous casual outfits when he rode the S-board, Kim Jaejoong’s formal wear tugged with more power at the heartstrings of women everywhere. The blue shirt that he wore matched with the blue color of the S-board, giving off the feel that the two were purposely matched and accentuating Kim Jaejoong’s good looks and style. The production company posted this photo of Kim Jaejoong enjoying his break on his S-board.
Kim Jaejoong is currently being praised with ‘Of course, it’s Mu-God’ for his ability to move freely on the S-board. His love for the board can be felt through the pictures of him on it that were taken as he traveled the world.
With JYJ(Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu)’s first Korean album set to be released soon, fans have begun a movement to get the group on broadcasted music programs.
It has been found that JYJ’s fans plan to buy their albums at stores that are included in the album sales count of KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’. Music Bank’s K-Chart Album Sales points are given according to the rankings from 1 to 100 on Hanteo Charts’ weekly nationwide album sales as well as the weekly album sales from Korea’s two major album distributors Synnara and Hottracks. Each album is then ranked proportionally to the total sales and given points accordingly.
But there is separate reason why JYJ’s fans are focusing on ‘Music Bank’. It is because KBS stated in May that JYJ were unable to appear on ‘Music Bank’ as they did not have an official album released at the time, which is the criteria for singers who wish to appear on the show. This means that when JYJ release their new album, there is no official reason that KBS can give to reject JYJ.
At the time of the announcement, C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We thank KBS for their official statement that says they will allow JYJ to appear on their music program when they release an official album,” and “Even just by looking at the recent events, anyone can surmise that the artiste can’t help but be in the weaker position as their appearances on broadcasted programs are blocked for various reasons.”
The upcoming album will contain songs that are composed by the members and were first released during JYJ’s world tour that began after they dropped their first worldwide album ‘The Beginning’ last October.
The title song ‘In heaven’ is a sad R&B ballad that is written by Kim Jaejoong and the album will consist of ten tracks that include ‘Get Out’ and ‘You’re’.
Singer Brian has become the last vocalist to join the OST of ‘Protect the Boss’.
The OST of SBS’ drama ‘Protect the Boss’, which will be released on the 8th of September, became a hot topic when pre-orders for the CD hit 30,000 copies. It has become the center of attention once more when it was revealed that the singer for the last digital singer would be Brian. Brian will be showcasing the emotional ballad ‘I Can’t Go’ for the OST.
On his personal Twitter account, Brian actively promoting his song and the drama as he said, “Everyone, please listen to “I Can’t Go” from the ‘Protect the Boss’ OST, which is sung by me, and promote it. It’s Jaejoong’s theme song^^“
Meanwhile, the ‘Protect the Boss’ OST has been receiving much love through digital single releases of its songs and the hard copy will begin selling on the 8th.
‘Protect the Boss’, loved for its romance story between a sorely lacking successor to a conglomerate and his oddly charming secretary, has prepared a 110 minute Chuseok special. It all begins with No Eun Seol (Choi Kang Hee), an energetic character who represents the 88 generation, being swept up in a love triangle with two successors to a conglomerate, Cha Ji Hun (Ji Sung) and Cha Mu Won (Kim Jaejoong).
The Chuseok special program will be divided into corners such as ‘Unprecedented Characters’, which will break down the relationships and characters in the drama, and ‘Extremely Hilarious NG Cuts’, which will seek to find the King of NGs in the drama.
