110803 JYJ Kim Junsu’s song “You are so Beautiful” for the “Scent of a Woman” OST comes out on August 5th

JYJ member Kim Junsu, whose appeal is his rich vocals, will release his song from the Scent of a Woman OST, “You are so Beautiful” on August 5th.

Broadcasted until September 30th, “Scent of a Woman” (screenwriter No Ji Seol Director Park Hyung Ki), inserted the song “You are so Beautiful” in the drama broadcast, causing much audience support and a flood of public interest once it was heard.

The distributor of the Scent of a Woman OST said that there were a number on inquiries about Kim Junsu’s track “You are so Beautiful”. Because there is participation from many talented singers, we hope that everybody continues to support ‘Scent of a Woman’ OST”.

Meanwhile, apart from singing “You are so Beautiful”, Kim Junsu participated in SBS’s “Scent of Woman” by having an appearance in the show as a singer who goes by the same name. JYJ’s Kim Junsu spoke about his feelings after making a guest appearance in the SBS drama “Scent Of A Woman” OST. 

In episode 3 of “Scent of a Woman” which was aired on 30 July, the female lead’s theme song “You are so beautiful”, performed by Kim Junsu, was played for the first time.

In this episode, when Yeon Jae (Kim Sun Ah) and Ji Wook (Lee Dong Wook) were on a date in Okinawa, and on 31 July when Yeon Jae wrote down the list of things she wanted to do before she died, the OST started playing.

To this, Kim Junsu revealed his feelings about participating in the OST. “Despite knowing that she only has a short time left, and against the negative circumstances, the female lead still manages to persist through the rest of her life -  it was this situation that caught my attention.” Kim Junsu explained, “Thanks to this drama, I started thinking about how good it is to still be living, to be able to feel gratitude towards those around us, and how precious every little thing in daily life is.” “Her (Yeon Jae’s) acceptance of death and her last love, her earnest way of living, and her positive descriptions make the situation even more tragic. So when singing Yeon Jae’s theme song, while thinking about the pitiful and lovable Yeon Jae, I wanted to express the song in a gentle yet sad way. “  Following the OST, recently Kim Junsu has also attracted much attention for his guest appearance in the drama. At the end of episode 4 aired on 31 July, the teaser for the upcoming episode showed Kim Junsu’s sudden guest appearance.

Kim Junsu said, “Although this is my first time participating in a drama, Kim Sun Ah, Lee Dong Wook, Uhm Ki Joon and others treated me very warmly, and I was able to participate happily in this drama naturally and comfortably. I hope that I was able to perform well.”

Kim Junsu expressed his feelings towards his participation in the OST and cameo appearance of ‘Scent of A Woman’. In the 3rd episode of ‘Scent of A Woman’, the female lead’s OST “You are so beautiful” that was sang by Junsu, premiered.

On that day’s broadcast, the song appeared during the date of Yeon Jae (Kim Sun Ah) and Ji Wook (Lee Dong Wook) in Hokkaido and in the storyline on 31st, the OST was played when Yeon Jae was doing up her to-do list before her death.

Therefore when I was singing Yeon Jae’s OST, I sang out that heartbreaking feeling, thinking of Yeon Jae who was pitiful and being loved by others.”

Besides the OST, Kim Junsu’s cameo appearance also attracted attention and in the preview during the 4th episode’s credit rolling, Kim Junsu’s sudden cameo appearance was made known.

Kim Junsu said, “Although it was my first time acting in drama, the actors Kim Sun Ah, Lee Dong Wook, Uhm Ki Joon etc and everyone very kindly accomodated to me and this made me very relaxed. I was happy during filming. Hopefully I have portrayed it well and that would be good enough.”

‘Scent of A Woman’ is about Yeon Jae, a female employee of a travel agency, who met Ji Wook who is rich but has no interest in life, and their gradual realization of the meaning of life.

110722 The Reason Why Kim Junsu Chooses to Sing the OST for “Scent Of A Woman”

Kim Junsu will be participating in the OST of “Scent of A Woman”. In the weekend special of “Scent of A Woman” broadcasted by SBS on 22nd July, he will participate in the OST, and will also be having a special appearance in the show as the role popular singer Kim Junsu.

JYJ’s Kim Junsu will be making his drama debut though a cameo in the upcoming SBS weekend drama, “Scent of a Woman“.

On July 21st, an Asia’s Star Xiah Junsu fan cafe representative revealed,

“Kim Junsu will be making a special cameo on ‘Scent of a Woman’. The relevant scene needs support as he will star as a popular singer who’s having a fan meeting.

Since the scene needs loud cheers, we welcome those who have loud voices or posters made .“

The scene will be filmed on July 28th, and approximately 400 fans will be in participating in the shot.

Meanwhile, ‘Scent of a Woman’ – which stars Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Wook – will air its first episode on July 23rd.
