110909 Due to the Preorders for the JYJ Album, Synnara Record Server Freezes. Indeed, JYJ.

The popularity of the singer JYJ has even immobilized the home page of a record company.

The first special Korean-language album by JYJ, In Heaven, has caused the server of the online retailer Synnara Record to go down and is showing signs of a huge success.

The 8th was a day before the date on which preorders became possible. Despite this, on the home page of Synnara Record which is one of the online retailers for the first Korean-language album by JYJ, a large number of fans gathered, to the degree that the server was downed.

Further, prior to the release of the album, C-JeS Entertainment released a 1-minute teaser for In Heaven through its home page on the midnight of the 5th in which Kim Junsu and entertainer Song Jihyo acted out tragic love and gathered interest.

On the other hand, on the midnight of thee 8th, the mp3 of the new song Get Out from the first Korean-language album by JYJ In Heaven was revealed.

110908 JYJ 1st Album “In Heaven”… is it going to shake the music industry?

JYJ will release their 1st album and make a comeback in the music industry.

On September 8th, JYJ released a song which is in their 1st Korean album “Get Out” through a music site. JYJ who released their “In Heaven” teaser, made an official statement for their comeback by releasing “Get Out”.

Right after JYJ released their song “get out” on the site, they immediately reached #1. JYJ’s agency,CJes Entertainment said “we were very surprised for we didn’t do any promotion before, yet we received a hot response”.

In 2010,when JYJ released their first world wide album, they made a phenomenal record of 450,000 pre-order. There are many wonders on how the response will be for their Korean album.

“Get Out” is a new song they announced at the 2011 JYJ world tour, and is a song Jaejoong and Yoochun composed. Its a song about being betrayed by the woman he loves, and by his friend. Its a high tempo pop dance song with straight forward lyrics.

JYJ will release their Korean album “In heaven” mid September.

110905 C-JeS Says, “One Billion Won Lawsuit? This Has Nothing To Do With JYJ, Only The Composer Mr. K”

“This has nothing to do with JYJ. We’ve never received any investments or documents for the album’s production costs. Everything has to do with the composer Mr. K.”

The agency of JYJ, an idol group whose members are from TVXQ, has released an official statement on the lawsuit against them and stated, “We are baffled and on a false charge.”

Through a phone conversation with Newsen, a representative of C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 5th, “We read the article that stated that there was a lawsuit filed against us, and we’re extremely baffled by it. In other words, this whole thing is ludicrous. The charges have nothing to do with us, and we’ve never received any investments or documents for the album’s production costs.

The representative added, “We are currently consulting the case with our lawyer but as no documents on the issue were passed between the two sides, we have not yet decided how to tackle the situation.”

According to the Seoul District Courts, the production company Asia Bridge Contents signed an album production contract with the popular composer Mr. K last February and paid him one billion Won in advance across four payments from March till April. But Asia Bridge Contents has filed the lawsuit against JYJ’s agency in order to retrieve their one billion Won in advance payment.

To this JYJ’s representative emphasized, “This has nothing to do with us but they’re demanding that we pay them back for the advance payment. This is ludicrous. We never received any advance payment from Asia Bridge Contents and this lawsuit should be against the composer Mr. K.”

110905 JYJ’s Agency Faces A Lawsuit, “Give Back Our One Billion Won Prepayment”

The agency of popular idol group JYJ, who left TVXQ to form a new group, have been swept up in a lawsuit over one billion Won in album production costs.

According to the Seoul District Courts on the 5th, the production company Asia Bridge Contents has filed a lawsuit against JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment for proper income division and a return of one billion Won in production costs.

Asia Bridge Contents stated, “Last February, we signed an album production contract with popular composer Mr. K who was in a music joint-production contract with C-JeS Entertainment at the time,” and “Following the contract, we provided Mr. K with one billion Won over a span of four payments from March till April in 2010.

They continued to state, “JYJs album was met with an explosive response, even before it was released and through this, we believe that C-JeS Entertainment earned a great amount of profit,” and “But C-JeS Entertainment began interfering with Asia Bridge Contents’ participation in the business and did not repay the one billion Won we paid in advance.

Asia Bridge Contents added, “We have the right to receive 18% of the profit JYJ received from album sales as well as the money we paid in advance,” and “We do not know the exact amount that C-JeS Entertainment earned in profits so for now, we’ve sued for the one billion Won we paid in advance.”

Jaejoong’s True Selflessness: Since “In Heaven” is JJ’s Creation, Expressed that YC or JS Should Star in the MV

Unlike many other artists of Korea, JYJ does not often get to appear in music videos, thus depriving them of a significant channel of promotion and artistic expression. In fact, their previous music video was released almost a whole year ago, in November of last year. Nonetheless, Jaejoong seems to have expressed the wish that because he was the one who created In Heaven, another of the JYJ members should star in the song’s music video. Jaejoong truly takes selflessness to another level, and we mere mortals can only wonder at it. All the more reason to support with all our heart this incredible human being and his two brothers in the future.

Actress Kim Jungeun Does Narration for In Heaven, the Title Song for JYJ’s New Album

Actress Kim Jungeun participates in In Heaven by providing narration for the song– the title song to JYJ’s first Korean-language album. Kim Jaejoong composed and wrote the lyrics for In Heaven. In the beginning of the song, a short narration of I love you was inserted. Kim Jaejoong evaluated that even though it is a short narration there must be emotion expressed in it, and is said to have relayed to the company that he wishes the narration to be done by a female actress with a good voice. C-JeS Entertainment, JYJ’s agency, said in a telephone conversation with 10 Asia that: “At Kim Jaejoong’s words the company was recruiting on our end, and the actress Kim Jungeun happily agreed. All JYJ members were happy and were truly thankful.”

Further, it is said that the [solo] appearance by JYJ member Kim Junsu in the In Heaven music video was a decision by the JYJ members. JYJ’s agency relayed: “Kim Jaejoong said that instead of himself appearing in a [music video for a] song that he created, he would like either Park Yoochun or Kim Junsu to appear. It is that all of the members agreed that the character of the synopsis and Kim Junsu were well-fitting and was so decided.” Kim Junsu has not acted in regular pieces such as dramas or movies but he has appeared in musicals including Mozart! and Tears of Heaven and is said to have steadily studied acting. Kim Junsu showed off a lover’s acting in collaboration with actress Song Jihyo and is said to have received good responses on the filming set as well. The full version of JYJ’s music video for In Heaven is planned to be released on the 15h.

JYJ to Break New Ground with Germany, Spain Concerts

JYJ will hold concerts in Spain and Germany from next month, marking new territory for a Korean pop group, its agency C-JeS Entertainment said.

The popular boy band will play at the 24,000-capacity Palau Sant Jordi Stadium* in Barcelona, Spain on Oct. 29, following in the footsteps of international stars like Ricky Martin and Deep Purple.

Later, on Nov. 6, the band will perform in Germany. Although the location has yet to be confirmed, the 3,500-capacity Tempodrom in Berlin is among the likely candidates, its agency said. English pop opera tenor Paul Potts recently appeared there.

“I’m excited about being the first Korean pop group to hold concerts in Germany and Spain, but there is also a certain amount of pressure to make sure we do a good job,” said band member Kim Jun-su, in an interview with the Chosun Ilbo.

“We are rehearsing intensively to make sure we put on a great show for local K-pop fans.”

JYJ has previously only performed in Asia and North America. According to its agency, requests flooded in from different parts of Europe after Warner Bros released the band’s first English album “The Beginning” last October. This was followed by concerts in Canada and the U.S.

C-JeS said it picked Barcelona and Berlin because the two cities are cultural hubs within both their own countries and in Europe. “They represent centers where people from North, East and West Europe can gather,” it said.

JYJ was formed when three of the original pop quintet TVXQ sued their parent company SM Entertainment in 2009 and left to form their own band. They have subsequently delved into musicals, TV dramas and soundtrack work.

110801 Why Did C-JeS Decline An Appearance On A ‘JYJ Special Program’?

‘Lee Giho’s Police Cop’ of the internet broadcasting program Radio21, which became a hot topic for giving birth to the new word ‘SoTamJaeShil(To desire Girls’ Generation and lose JYJ in the process)’, has been receiving great support from its listeners.

Last weekend, Enterpost met with a representative of the program to listen to the interesting behind-the-scenes stories. Apparently, the special program was not on the schedule; it was made and added to the schedule in a rush when Reporter Lee Giho, who has been keeping an eye on the JYJ issue, proposed its creation after coming to the conclusion that ‘Unjust forces have been applied on this issue’ when KBS suddenly cancelled JYJ’s appearance on the ‘Jeju’s 7 Natural Wonders of the World nomination commemoration program’.

As if it were taking its aim at KBS’s special program, the radio show took place for two hours from 4pm. It was scheduled so for strategic purposes, pacifying the anger of JYJ’s fans, who would have otherwise had to watch as girl groups with hot pants stood on the stage that their singers deserved to stand on.

There were some interesting behind-the-scenes stories regarding the casting of the participants. The first guest the program’s representatives attempted to reach was of course, ‘a JYJ representative’. This is because they were the victims most affected by KBS’ ‘brutality’.

When the program’s representative contacted C-JeS Entertainment, which acts as JYJ’s management agency, C-JeS expressed that it didn’t wish to appear on the program. They explained that though they agreed with the object of the program, there was a chance that their appearance on the program to reveal their stance may become an emotional battle. C-JeS turned down the offer and said, “We are cautious about appearing on the program as our actions may be interpreted as a ‘counterattack’. If we were to take action in such a way, what would make us so different from them(It’s easy for anyone to guess who ‘them’ are^^-editor)?”

And their final words moved the program’s representative greatly. “Though JYJ were not able to appear on KBS’ special program, they are still honorary ambassadors of Jeju’s 7 Natural Wonders of the World nomination. JYJ will continue to work hard to promote Jeju’s 7 Natural Wonders of the World nomination.”

Though a guest appearance by a representative of C-JeS didn’t occur, Radio21 was able to see their sincerity and instead met with Department Head Lee Jae Eun from Prain, the PR company of JYJ.
But even Lee Jae Eun confessed that she was experiencing a great amount of pressure from her appearance on the program. Though it was an interview that was conducted over the phone, the fact that the conversation was broadcasted live must have been pressure beyond one’s imagination. However, regardless of this pressure, Lee Jae Eun decided to appear on the program with the responsibility to correctly state the facts and process beneath the surface of the the issue for the listeners. She revealed many facts about the issue that had not been known before.

Though she was extremely busy, having stayed up the night before to monitor the last episode of Park Yoochun’s drama ‘Miss Ripley’ and to put the finishing touches on her work, Department Head Lee did her best to present the needed information and facts in a concise way.

The end product was a program that uncovered the hidden stories of a raging controversy that received an explosive response from netizens and fans alike. The public, not only fans of JYJ, was able to know the correct information behind the current issue that surrounds JYJ.

Meanwhile, C-JeS Entertainment has already reported KBS Jeju to the Fair Trade Commission for JYJ’s performance cancellation. But regardless of the outcome, KBS’ rash decision has lost the broadcasting company its moral image and trust. Will KBS ever be able to salvage its demolished image?

110729 KBS’ Explanation, Why Can’t They Just Say It Was Because Of SM!

KBS released an explanation on the 28th regarding JYJ’s Jeju performance cancellation that has been called a national disgrace. It’s called an ‘explanation’, but it’s really nothing but a pathetic excuse that makes one’s face blush in embarrassment. If this was the kind of excuse that they were planning to release, then they really didn’t need to wait a whole week to release it. If they were going to repeat a unilateral statement that doesn’t give a proper answer to the question at hand, then they didn’t really have to release an official explanation at all.

Especially, the fact that they keep emphasizing, “JYJ’s appearance was cancelled based on a judgment by the production crew,” makes the suspicion grow that it wasn’t the production crew’s judgment at all. They say that they’ve emphasized the fact that, “The decision to allow people to appear on shows is solely up to the respective PD of that program and the decision is made based on which people will be more effective for the completion of the program,” but this seems to be nothing but cliché words that make up a lame excuse. It will be hard to find someone who will agree with a statement that merely beats around the bush.

Even if they do repeat a statement over and over again, the least they could have done is touch upon the issue that JYJ’s representatives brought up. The most important issue between the JYJ and KBS Jeju controversy is the part, “The broadcasting of the program may be impossible if JYJ appear.” This seems to contradict the statement made that it is the respective PD’s right to make the decisions. This is why many of JYJ’s representatives and fans believe that SM’s influence affected the outcome.

There is a crucial element that makes KBS’ explanation lose its persuasive power. The decision to have Girls’ Generation’s appear does not explain why JYJ were pulled out. As the decision that Girls’ Generation would be more effective than JYJ is one that is subjective to the PD and therefore can be accepted, Girls’ Generation weren’t the only singers to perform on stage, only proving the existence of external pressure from SM as there was no need to remove JYJ from the program because Girls’ Generation were appearing. The whole explanation by KBS is nothing but a lame excuse that replaces the simple statement that is was SM’s doing.

Also, if someone had to be removed from the list because of time restrictions, there must have been a team of real low awareness that could have been taken out instead of JYJ. Even if KBS were put in a situation of having to choose, it was illogical for them to remove the honorary ambassadors. KBS still haven’t answered the question as it to why it had to be JYJ; as they say, silence is a confirmation.

For Girls’ Generation who stood on stage and for JYJ who couldn’t stand on stage, it was an awkward performance. Though it was a grand performance that was prepared on the fields of Jeju, it was found that the atmosphere on location was chilly. It wasn’t a stage that Girls’ Generation, though forerunners of the new Hallyu Wave they may be, was supposed to stand on as replacements. The Jeju performance, which was supposed to promote the nomination of Jeju as one of the new 7 Natural Wonders of the World, has been left as nothing but a controversy. JYJ’s representatives have revealed that they have already reported KBS Jeju to the Fair Trade Commission, meaning that the event that was supposed to be a memorable celebration became nothing but a ruined affair.

As a result of the cue sheet that was suddenly changed four days before the concert, KBS Jeju succeeded in ensuring that their program would be broadcasted, but the atmosphere in the crowd was so chilly that it was embarrassing to catch on camera. Even though Girls’ Generation’s popularity shoots to the sky, it isn’t easy to amass a large number of fans with a sudden schedule change, especially due to the geographic location of the island. Also, the attitude and actions of the broadcasting company dropped the anticipation of the performance drastically.

Whether it was because of SM’s external pressure, or whether it was because of the production PD’s individual decision, all that matters is that the event did not live up to what it had strived to do. Though these unreasonable actions may work in the backyard of the entertainment industry, they aren’t enough to convince the public. This is the reason why the voice of criticism isn’t coming just from fans of JYJ. If KBS or SM believe that the movement against them in this issue is merely that of a fandom, then they are sorely mistaken. Before KBS explains for makes excuses, they must understand the popular sentiment that lies behind the JYJ issue.

110729 JYJ’s Representative States, “KBS’s Explanation Did Not Answer Our Questions At All”

A representative of Prain, the company in charge of JYJ’s PR, made a statement regarding KBS’s explanation as to why JYJ’s appearance on a KBS program was cancelled.

This representative stated, “KBS’s explanation did not answer a single question that JYJ’s representatives made,” and “What JYJ’s representatives called for was the reason why JYJ’s appearance was suddenly cancelled.” He continued to add, “We believe that JYJ, who were already promoting the cause as honorary ambassadors, could have appeared on the program as planned, regardless of Girls’ Generation and f(x)’s appearances. Other honorary ambassadors who were promised an appearance performed as planned, so we do not know why only JYJ were given a notification of cancellation.

JYJ were scheduled to appear on the KBS special program ‘Challenge! 7 Natural Wonders of the World, This is Jeju’ as honorary ambassadors to the island’s nomination but were given a notification of cancellation by KBS four days before the performance. To this, JYJ’s representatives stated in an official statement that, “We have reported this case to the Fair Trade Commission and will carry out a lawsuit against the obstructions made against JYJ’s independent activities.”

On the 28th, KBS stated in their viewers’ thread that, “We received a call of confirmation from Girls’ Generation and f(x), who were on our list of celebrities to cast in the performance, saying that they would be able to perform,” and “As Girls’ Generation and f(x) have already spread out globally, even to Europe, we decided that their appearance would be more effective in promoting Jeju, which is in the running to be one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, to the world(broadcasting live to 72 countries through KBS World).”
The Prain representative stated, “We do not wish to cause a conflict with KBS because of this issue,” and “However, we will wait for the verdict from the Fair Trade Commission regarding this issue and we hope that such illogical events will not occur again in the future.”

110725 Avex Sues The Sumo Association For 143.4 Million Yen

(T/N: This article was translated from the magazine Shuukan Genzai. It’s a rather disorganized article and contains factual errors, so please take this article with a pinch of salt. Also, additional translator notes had to be added to make more sense out of this article, so please bear with me)

Even if you’ve never heard of the popular Korean idol group JYJ, you would probably be familiar with the name “Tohoshinki.” 5-man boyband Tohoshinki is a highly popular group that was ranked as the no.2 best selling artist for CDs & DVDs last year in Japan, with earnings close to  9.4 billion yen.

However, unexpected trouble has arisen due to their “Charity concert” which was held in the Ryogoku Kokugikan on 7 June this year.

Tohoshinki’s management company in Japan, the large recording label Avex has announced that they are currently suing the Japan Sumo Association, who owns and manages the Kokugikan. We will talk about the details of this lawsuit a little later,  but Tohoshinki has been facing various issues within the year.

During spring of last year, 3 of the 5 members in Tohoshinki revealed their unhappiness with the low amount of remuneration they were receiving, and broke away from their (Korean) management company, which is one of the largest entertainment companies in Korea. They became independent and started activities as “JYJ.” At the same time, they also left their Japanese management company Avex, and started doing activities independently. Currently, the two remaining members are continuing their promotional activities as “Tohoshinki.”

(T/N: This is a factual error. JYJ signed a new contract with Avex initially as JEJUNG/JUNSU/YUCHUN (JJY), which led to the release of the “The..” album as well as the “Thanksgiving Live in Dome” concerts, with Avex announcing the suspension of JYJ’s activities later in the year citing reasons as stated below)

However, it was later discovered that JYJ’s management company C-Jes Entertainment’s representative was involved in gang-related activities, and this was picked up by the sports papers. (T/N: Sports papers = Japanese tabloids)

Sending Propaganda Vehicles to Avex

Furthermore, this issue became complicated in May this year.

“On the morning of 6 May, in Tokyo’s Bunkyo City,  near Avex’s Executive Vice President Chiba Ryuhei’s home, right-wing propaganda vehicles turned up in an aggressive manner.

While yelling “AVEX!” they continuously played the Japanese anthem at a loud volume in the quiet residential area. These propaganda activities would happen for around 15 minutes at a time, and occur several times a day, continuing for a week. Chiba’s family were emotionally run down, and were too afraid to even step out of the house. Naturally, the police officers in the area came and gave repeated warnings about this.

Around the same time, the same propaganda vehicles visited the Avex head office in Aoyama, shouting about the nuclear plant and other unknown issues before leaving. The volume could be heard so loudly that it affected the operations within the office.” - Representative from the Police

The famous right-wing group that sent the vehicles explained that the protest was due to Avex’s actions to demand a prohibition.

<Korea’s JYJ planned to hold a charity concert in Saitama Super Arena aid of victims of the Tohoku Earthquake, an undertaking which would have contributed approximately 100 million yen but Avex used tyrannical methods to stop this from happening. When we heard about this….(omitted)  we felt that this was abhorrent behavior and therefore decided to protest against it.>

According to this right-wing group, JYJ had been planning for this charity since May of this year.

“Initially they planned to hold it at Tokyo Dome, and we received an inquiry from them. However, we hold the management rights within the country, and having this concert with such disregard would be a breach of contract, and therefore could not be allowed. The event location was informed that they would be held responsible as well, so Tokyo Dome refused to give its approval (for the event.)

C-Jes then approached Yokohama Arena, Saitama Super Arena and others, for a location to hold the event. We received inquiries from various locations and we gave the same explanation, requesting for them to desist. “

- Avex related personnel

Saitama Super Arena, who had already started selling tickets, panicked and withdrew (from the agreement) after receiving this notice from Avex.

Immediately after this, the protests happened.  Where the right-wing group heard about the event is unclear but, “After so much effort in organizing a charity event that could raise 100 million yen for the disaster victims, why are you raising objections and preventing the event from happening,” they argued with good reason.
It was around this time that suspicious people started “paying visits” to Avex.

Just before Golden Week, a man claiming to be from another right-wing group visited Avex, saying “The Koreans are helping to raise relief funds for the Japanese, so why are you causing problems for them?” and other things, raising his voice at the staff who served him.

Also, there was an incident of a man holding a name card of another group visiting the head office building, but was stopped by the security personnel.

Warnings Were Issued To (Japan Sumo Association) Chairman Hanaregoma

All of a sudden, the 7 June concert was to be held at the Kokugikan.

“An email came, with contents that said something similar to, “To the fans, this wouldn’t exactly be called a concert but more of a fanmeeting.” Although this was announced just before the event was held, most of the fans participated very happily. The tickets cost 8,500 yen per person. Compared to the time of Tohoshinki, the trio’s dances may seem a little lacking in power, and it was a pity that they couldn’t sing Tohoshinki songs, but the fans were really passionate as they were finally able to see the three members after a long time.“
- Female fan who attended the concert

However, Avex was enraged by this sudden concert. “We informed all concert venues that JYJ and C-JeS were in breach of contract, and requested for them not to hold the concert. However, the Kokugikan silently pushed through with it.

“On 10 May, we issued a warning letter addressed to the Executive Director of the Japan Sumo

Association(JSA) and distinctly requested for a cancellation. But a representative of the Sumo Association called us on 12 May and said “Settle the problem among yourselves,” “Because we have already given them approval to use the venue, and also received payment.” in a hostile manner.  On 2 June, just before the concerts, we sent another warning to Chairman Hanaregoma, but was completely ignored.” - Avex related personnel

Avex even applied for a provisional disposition to prevent the concert from happening, but it was held nonetheless. And now, they are now suing the Sumo Association and its management partners, requesting for 143.4 million yen in compensation at the Tokyo district courts.

This compensation amount was calculated from the expected profit that Avex would have earned as the rightful management company, if they had held the concert.

“All of the concert venues in Japan refused to hold this concert because they knew about the problems between ourselves, the right-wing groups and gang-related people. But for some reason, the Kokugikan agreed (to hold this concert.) We suspect that it’s possible that they may be connected to those (right-wing groups and/or gangs) sides” - Avex management staff

The Sumo circle have always seen gang-related people sitting in the “ijiin” seats (T/N: the best seats closest to the sumo ring) , and there has been rumours that the “oyakatas” (T/N: Sumo coaches) have gang connections as well. With regards to this lawsuit, the Sumo Association said, “ We have yet to be able to verify this writ, so we are unable to reply to your inquiries.”

For the Sumo Association, who were finally able to hold their “Grand Tournament,” after being plagued by misfortune, a popular idol group concert would definitely have been something that they would want very badly. However, it resulted in them antagonizing a big record company.

110720 “It Was Impossible For JYJ To Appear”… Because Of Their Lawsuit With SM

KBS said, “It will be difficult for JYJ to partake in any non-individual activities until their lawsuit is over.”
This means that there will be close to no chance for JYJ to appear on KBS until their legal suit with SM Entertainment is over.

Meeting with Sports Seoul, a representative of KBS stated, “It will be difficult for JYJ to appear on KBS until the lawsuit with SM Entertainment is over.”

This statement came regarding the fact that JYJ were suddenly unable to perform at the ‘Jeju 7 Natural Wonders of the World Nomination KBS Special Program’ that was held on the 20th. JYJ were schedule to perform two songs for their stage but JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment revealed on the 17th that, “We received a one-sided notification of cancellation four days before the performance.”

C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We received the statement ‘If JYJ perform, it might be impossible for the show to be aired.’” Therefore, an ‘external pressure’ controversy arose that KBS is blocking JYJ from appearing on broadcasted shows. As the representative stated that it will be hard for JYJ to appear on KBS until the end of the lawsuit, the external pressure rumor seems to be somewhat true.

This representative also added, “But JYJ are able to partake in individual activities on KBS,” and “Park Yoochun appeared in the drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, didn’t he?”

However, there have been instances in which their individual activities have been restricted by KBS. Park Yoochun was chosen to appear on KBS 2TV’s ‘Kim Seung Woo’s On A Roll’ with actor Kim Kap Soo early this year but received a notification of cancellation the day before filming was to take place. The representative explained, “I’m sure it was JYJ who were asked to appear on the show, not just Park Yoochun alone.”

But when Sports Seoul contacted ‘Kim Seung Woo’s On A Roll’, the representative who answered the phone stated, “Park Yoochun was invited as he got to know Kim Kap Soo from ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’,” and “There was no reason for JYJ to appear together.”

JYJ’s fans have opened up a petition that calls for an official statement from KBS, KBS Jeju and the other sponsors in charge of the performance. They wish for these sponsors to give an exact reason and an official apology to JYJ.
