JYJ Park Yoochun Purchases a High-End Villa With a Private Garden of Around 100 Square Meters

Park Yoochun has become a resident of the UN Village of Hannamdong, which is spreading as the representative residence like a trend among entertainers.

The A Villa of UN Village of Hannamdong that Park Yoochun has purchased in February is a high-end residence of about 330 square meters with superb views of the Han River and is equipped with a spacious solo/private garden.

It was confirmed that Park Yoochun purchased this villa for the price of the upper end of the 2,000,000,000 KRW’s (T/N: approximately a figure approaching 3 million USD). Park Yoochun who has acquired A Villa through the proceeds derived from the world tour and other such activities as JYJ has delayed moving in until recently and remodeled the villa with the finest of interior design, putting in several hundreds of millions of KRW (T/N: approximately several hundreds of thousands of USD). In particular, it became known that Park Yoochun put in much effort in decorating the private garden that is around 100 square meters.

The assistant manager of Maekyung Real Estate Center Kang Byungsuk relayed: “The villa that Park Yoochun purchased as a superb view of the Han River and it is also well-equipped with the a system of entry that is well controlled and environment that is closed off, as appropriate for a residence of entertainers. In the vicinity of the villa that Park Yoochun lives in, the actor Jung Junho and the singer Gu Junyup also lives.”

Not only Park Yoochun but also Kim Jaejoong, another member of JYJ, has moved into the Sangsungdong’s mixed-use penthouse in the 3,000,000,000 KRW’s (T/N: approximately a figure in the realm of 3 million USD) that he purchased with the proceeds from his activities as JYJ about a month ago. Kim Jaejoong’s penthouse is a luxury residence of the highest level, being about 297.5 square meters and equipped with a terrace. He became neighbors with another member Kim Junsu who moved into a B mixed-use dwelling a month earlier.

QTV to Air “Sungkyunkwan Scandal : The Movie”

Celebrating the first anniversary of the popular KBS drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” cable channel QTVwill air “Sungkyunkwan Scandal : The Movie” on Sept 10.

The two-hour movie is a re-creation of the 20 episodes of the drama and will also feature recent interviews with the four main leads: Park Yoo Chun (as Lee Seon Joon), Park Min Young (as Kim Yoon Hee), Yoo Ah In(as Moon Jae Shin) and Song Joong Ki (as Gu Yong Ha), also known in the drama as the “Jalgeum Quartet” (“quartet made up of outstanding talents”). There will also be NG cuts of Park Yoo Chun that have never been revealed before.

Yoo Ah In said, “Recently I’ve been re-watching Sungkyunkwan Scandal on QTV and it brings back many old memories. I’m looking forward to watching the movie version on QTV during Chuseok.”

Jo Sung Kyung, production head of QTV said, “As a drama so popular that fans proudly called themselves a ‘SungS Fan,’ I feel that it is very meaningful to do this to commemorate its first anniversary. Despite the busy schedules of the main leads, they agreed readily to do the interviews for the ’1st Anniversary of Sungkyunkwan Scandal,’ and I’m very thankful to them.”

He added, “Together with the movie version, there will also be additional footage of behind-the-scenes that have never been revealed before, which I’m sure the fans will look forward to.”

QTV is a cable channel specialising in factual and reality entertainment and is a joint venture between Turner Broadcasting System, Inc and JoongAng Ilbo’s affiliate, ISPLUS.

Winners for the ‘2011 Seoul International Drama Awards’!

On August 31st, Asia’s outstanding drama series were honored and highlighted at the ‘2011 Seoul International Drama Awards‘ ceremony, held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.

The big winner of the night was the Chinese drama, ‘Three Kingdoms‘, which took home the honorary grand prize that evening.

In the category of best picture, Romanian drama ‘In the Name of Honour‘ (which deals with women in honor killings) and Brazilian drama ‘Passione‘ each received the Top Excellence and Excellence Awards, respectfully.

For the personal awards category, veteran actress Na Moon Hee received the Best Actress Award for her role in the short story drama, ‘It’s me, Grandma‘.

JYJ’s Park Yoochun, who made his acting debut through ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal‘, received the Asia Popularity Award as well as the Hallyu Drama Actor Award, for a total of two awards.

In the Hallyu drama category, ‘Secret Garden‘ took the honorary “Triple Crown”. Producer Shin Woo Chul won the Hallyu Drama Directing Award, writer Kim Eun Sook won the Hallyu Drama Writer Award, and singer Baek Ji Young received the Best Soundtrack award for her original OST song, “That Woman“.

Meanwhile, ‘Mary Stayed Out All Night‘ and ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ also won the Top Excellence and Excellence Best Picture Awards as well.

A total of 204 dramas from 37 countries competed at the 2011 Seoul International Drama Awards, which was first launched back in 2006.

Park Yuchun Exclusive Fan Meeting in Thailand : a date with Yuchun

“Park Yuchun” or Micky, is one of the member of JYJ, the World Famous Boy Band. His initial “Y” is used in the middle of JYJ Band Name. The other two members are “Kim Junsu” and “Kim Jaejoong”

“Park Yuchun” was born in Seoul, Korea. He later moved to the United States to study at a high school there and very soon after that he started on his musical career. It was obvious from the very beginning that, he had a great talent as a musician and singer. He taught himself to play piano and excelled in musical composition. His talents were recognized by many of his peers long before he reached stardom.

In 2009, “Yuchun” and “Kim Jaejoong” co-wrote a song and performed together for the 35th years anniversary of Hello Kitty. The song, “Colours , Melody and Harmony” was an Asian wide success.

In the first English album of JYJ, “The Beginning”, “Yuchun” composed both the lyrics and melodies in several songs in the album such as, “The Music Essay – Their Room”, “Nameless Song Part.1” and the rap verse of “Mission”.

In 2010, “Yuchun” and the members of JYJ sang the song, “Chajatda – Found You”, the soundtrack for the drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, in which “Yuchun” also taken a lead role in. In addition, he also performed the song, “A Space Left For You” in another hit drama “Miss Ripley” which reached No. 1 in several music charts.

In 2011, “Yuchun” and “JYJ” had been on a very successful world tour in all the major cities all over the world such as Bangkok, Taiwan, Beijing , Vancouver, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Seoul.

On the acting side, “Park Yuchun” first taken a role in a Japanese , Bee TV in 2010 with “Beautiful Love”. He also taken a lead role for KBS in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”. Despite being a rookie, he was very well received by the public and media alike. He won the KBS Drama Awards as the “Best Newcomer Actor of 2010” , Most Popular Netizens’ Award. The people that contributed to the votes this time was people all over Asia, which is why it has a more deeper meaning and at the same time, I feel a certain pressure. 110829 Park Yoochun Wins SDA Popularity Award – Heavy Burden On Shoulders

Winner of the Netizen’s Popularity Award for the Seoul Drama Awards 2011, JYJ Member Park Yoochun said,  “I’m thankful, but there’s a heavy burden on my shoulders” expressing his gratitude in his greeting.

On the early afternoon of 29 August, Park Yoochun attended the Seoul Drama Awards 2011 press conference at the 20^th Floor of the Seoul News Center, at the International Meeting Hall.  He will be receiving the netizen’s popularity award on 31 August during the Seoul Drama Awards  2011 ceremony, held in the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.

On his winning of the netizen’s popularity award, Park Yoochun said, “Firstly, for me, who is still lacking, I’m really thankful for such a big award. As these votes came from all over Asia, the meaningfulness, as well as burden on my shoulders become greater. I think that the artists and staff working hard together to produce good works is a way of repaying the fans.”

Following that, he said “This is not just a global promotion of cultural content, but the reason why these people show love for hallyu, and working hard to understand those countries’ culture, these are also ways of repaying (their love.)” he supplemented.

Park Yoochun, who put up a great performance in last year’s KBS drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal, won by a landslide in the Korean actors category of the online popularity poll which was held between 18 July to 16 August, for a period of approximately one month.

To this, Park Yoochun said, “I just started out as an actor, so I still have a lot of greed. To do the tasks that I am given well, to work hard on my activities, and to be able to make a small contribution to the hallyu culture gives me a great sense of pride.”

On his secret to overseas popularity, he said. “I’m not exactly sure why there is so much love from overseas fans. More so than others, language is a big issue. I faced many problems with language in the 5 years of doing activities in Japan, and now there are even more language barriers to cross. Although I can’t express myself in various countries’ languages, I still hope that they can see my effort,” he said, evaluating himself.

Also, when asked about a strong rival, Park Yoochun picked fellow JYJ member Kim Jaejoong, who is now appearing in the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Protect the boss.” Park Yoochun said, “I’m going to the shooting location tomorrow. Although we have a good relationship, I’m cautious of him” he said jokingly.

This year, is the 6^th year it’s been held, the Seoul Drama Awards 2011 will be jointly organized by the Seoul Drama Awards committee and the Korean Broadcasting corporation, and is an annual affair. The comittee led by(Director) Im Kwon Taek includes professionals from dramas and movies all over the world, judging short films, series and long films, evaluating 39 works. The Seoul Drama Awards will be held in the Seoul Yeouido KBS Hall on 31 August, and will be aired on SBS.

The Seoul Drama Awards 2011 Press Conference occurred on August 29th at the International Conference in Seoul. Seoul Drama Awards is an awarding ceremony where all dramas come together and compete. In this press conference, actor Park Yoochun and director Im Kwon Taek also participated. The award ceremony will take place on August 31st and will be hosted by Ryu Si Won at the Yeouido KBS Hall.

Park Yoochun revealed his thoughts about the Most Popular Award to be given during the Seoul Drama Awards. Park Yoochun participated in the Seoul Drama Awards 2011 Press Conference and stated, “I’m so happy to be able to receive such a huge award. Because they are from votes throughout all of Asia, it has even a more profound meaning, putting more of a weight on my shoulders.” He continued to say, “With this Korean wave that is occurring, we are receiving a lot of love for our Korean media and content. JYJ’s Yoochun chooses Jaejoong as his rival

On August 29th, JYJ’s Yoochun attended the press conference for the ‘2011 Seoul International Drama Awards‘ at the International Conference Hall in Seoul. 

When asked by reporters who he considered his rival as a Hallyu star, Yoochun replied, “He’s actually close to me.  He’s currently filming the drama ‘Protect the Boss‘ and I’ll be visiting tomorrow to see him.  Even while filming, he’s on alert.”

The person he chose is none other than fellow member Jaejoong, who’s currently playing the role of ‘Cha Moo Won’ on ‘Protect the Boss’.

Q: Please let us know of an “appeal point” for which you could say “if you were to go out with me, you’ll find these things to be good.”

Yoochun: Because I am busy I won’t be able to meet her very often. So I won’t be a man who is bothersome. Of course I will send her timely text messages. I will also express my affections a lot. I shall try… I think that always we shall meet with the feeling of new. Even if we become (as old as a) grandfather and grandmother, we will be able to spend time with each other like lovers.

Q: What is the food that you wish your girlfriend would make you?

Yoochun: Croquettes and jjigae! A croquette is something that is eaten as bread in Korea but in Japan you eat it with rice, you know? I think it is good that you can eat it together with rice after preparing the rice. Jjigae (T/N: thick soup, Korean food) is also eaten with rice. So, croquettes and jjigae.

Q: : Is your ideal woman unchanged from before?

Yoochun: That a domestic/family-oriented woman is my ideal has not changed! But I think that now, on top of that, I wish she’d be someone who can get along well with my mother also. I don’t know what kind of a person will be able to get along well, but now a relative has come over to our house and so there are many women. I wish that she’d be someone who will be able to get along well with them from the beginning, and have a personality that can be family (with them).

Q: If in the future you get a girlfriend will you reveal that?

Yoochun: Huh? A girlfriend? To who? To me? (Lets out a very deep sigh) To “reveal” means to say to everyone that “I’ve gotten a girlfriend,” right? I really want to try doing that. I want to reveal it. But wouldn’t it be after sufficient time has passed after we begin to date? I think that if it is a woman that I can say “shall I marry her now?” I will reveal it.

110825 JYJ Park Yoochun Will Represent Hallyu Stars, Attending The Seoul Drama Awards Press Conference

On 31 August, the Seoul Drama Awards will be held in the Seoul Yeouido KBS Hall, gathering the actors and producers from the nominated works as well as drama fans from all over the world, and will be aired on SBS.

110815 JYJ’s Yoochun photoshops his onto famous paintings

JYJ member Park Yoochun made fans burst with laughter after he photoshopped his own face into world famous paintings. Yoochun recently tweeted three hilarious photos along with funny captions, “A dream”, “Cold”, and “~Aah.” The pictures were of Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” and Munch’s “Scream”, however he changed the pictures in order to fit his face into each one. Paying attention to detail, he created his facial expression to match the overall atmosphere of the picture, whether it be a poker face or a surprised expression, gaining much attention from excited fans.

Fans left messages such as, “You have a natural instinct for comedy”, “Your face is a beautiful fit”, and “I laughed as soon as I saw these.”

Park Yoochun’s drama “Miss Ripley” ended just last month, and his OST for the drama, “Empty Space for You,” topped various music charts across Korea.

JYJ Park Yoochun had an almost-kiss scene with a highschool girl in the CF and this garnered a lot of attention.

Park Yoochun who endorsed for a food product, was transformed into a suave teacher for the last CF, capturing the hearts of many young girls.

In this newly released CF, he continued his role as a teacher and was standing in the midst of a crowded public bus when the driver makes a sudden brake, causing a female highschooler to fall. However she was saved by Park Yoochun in the nick of time and after which they relieved the false alarm panic with the cooling drink.

This CF was filmed at Gyeonggi-do Ilsan and the weather that day was at a high 30 degrees which makes filming difficult for the actors and staffs. It was glad that Park Yoochun was devoted to the filming with his natural depict of the character and filming was done smoothly.
