JYJ has been chosen as the ambassadors of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).
On July 5th, JYJ attended the 50th KEPCO Anniversary Concert at Samsung-dong, headquarters of KEPCO, for their inauguration ceremony and performed their songs “In Heaven” and “Emtpy” on their celebratory stage.
KEPCO officials stated that, “JYJ are a young and dynamic, and is oriented with the global image of KEPCO’s 50th anniversary and had to be appointed ambassador. KEPCO will now, with the feelings of becoming JYJ’s fourth member, strive to fly to the world with their plans. JYJ will also yet again represent Korea as singers of the Korean wave, and as singers will be able to lead with KEPCO with a power of global orientation, as they are young and in order to spur on their future-oriented image , they will actively cooperate and progress forwards together.
At this inauguration ceremony for the ambassadors, Kim Jaejoong stated that, “KEPCO is regularly heard as enthusiastic with their social contributions. To celebrate their 50th anniversary, I was told that fifty people from inside and outside the country who were less fortunate were given operations for eyesight recovery. I was very moved when I heard this.” Park Yoochun stated that, “JYJ is also ambition to work with KEPCO and inform the electricity industry overseas about KEPCO. “ Kim Junsu followed by stating that, “Using the passionate employees of KEPCO as models, JYJ will also strive to become world established singers.”
Kim Jaejoong is currently cast in SBS’s drama “Protect the Boss”, Park Yoochun is cast in MBC’s drama “Miss Ripley” and Kim Junsu is currently taking a rest after finishing his encore performance for his musical “Mozart”.
